課程概述

Introduction to Drafting is an entry level class that will introduce theatrical design student to the basic graphic tools, materials, and techniques of hand drafting. The class will also, at the same time, introduce students to the conceptual foundations of scale drawing and the generally accepted formats of a drafting package (Ground Plan, Section, Elevations, Details). The faculty believes that honing these skills using the medium of hand drafting will best allows the student to apply these basic skills to whatever medium they ultimately use (hand drafting, CAD, 3D Modeling).

課程目標

Using drafting, the theatre designer accurately, and with artistry, communicates design specifications to the other members of the production and artistic team. These drawings must be complete and clear since they communicate on behalf of the designer during his or her absence. Student in this class will learn the graphic standards and techniques unique to drafting for the professional theater.

課程要求

NOTE: schedule subject to change- student will be notified and given updated syllabus

1. 本課程以英語授課。
2. 本課程需先修「舞台設計一」，未修過者應於8月26日午夜12時前上傳portfolio及introductory statement (說明修課動機)至https://forms.gle/w5nbkKJaQa9nDe159，教師同意後始得修課。
3. 第一次上課必到，未到請退選。

課程時間說明：
1. 除第2、3、5、13週，其餘每週三上課時間為14:30-18:00（3.5小時）。
2. 第2、3、5、13週以zoom視訊授課，時間縮短為1.5小時，確切時間將於課上公布。
3. 第11週(11/15)校慶日照常上課。
4. 無法配合上述時間者請勿修課。

If you have an issue getting from last class to our class, let me know. Repeated late arrivals will count as an absence.
